WOMEN'S CLOTHES

For womens Jackets, Vests, Tops, Shirts and Dresses, we ask for your chest, waist, and hip measurements. For Pants and Skirts we ask for your hip measurements. For best results, use a flexible tailors measuring tape, and have a friend measure you while standing. If you don't have a tape measure, use a string, then measure that.

To measure your chest, pull the tape measure gently taught (don't pull to tight) around the circumference of your chest right under your armpits, where your chest is at its fullest. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters.

To measure your waist, pull the tape gently taught around your waist at your belly button. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters.

To measure your hips, pull the tape measure gently taught round the buttocks at the level of maximum circumference. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters.

The next step is to apply your measurements to the chart below. Find what range fits you best. For example if your bust is 95cm, a size M (93-98cm) would be a good fit. If your bust is 93cm, a size S/M (88-93cm) would be a snug and fitted, and an M (93-98) would be a roomier fit. You can apply the above example to waist and hip measurements.

Depending on what your measurements and personal preferences are, use you judgment to choose a more fitted or roomier cut.

Dress Size   2 4 8 12 16 18

Hips Range (cm)   79-85 85-90 90-95 95-101 101-109 109-119

WOMEN'S JEANS

For jeans, we ask for your Waist and Hip measurements. For best results, use a flexible tailors measuring tape, and have a friend measure you while standing. If you don't have a tape measure, use a string, then measure that.

For example, if your Hips are 97cm around, you would be a size 28. If your Hips are 88cm around, you would be a snug (fitted) size 26 or a loose (roomier) size 27.

Depending on what your measurements and personal preferences are, use you judgment to choose a more fitted or roomier cut.

MEN'S JACKETS AND SHIRTS

For Jackets and Shirts. we ask you to measure your Chest area. For best results, use a flexible tailors measuring tape, and have a friend measure you while standing. If you don't have a tape measure, use a string, then measure that.

To MEASURE YOUR CHEST, pull the tape measure gently taught (don't pull to tight) around the circumference of your chest at the nipples right under your armpits, where your chest is at its fullest. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters.

Because everyone has different proportions, its best to measure your waist as well as your chest. You may want to choose a larger size based on your waist measurements. For example if your waist fits into the Large size bracket and your chest fits into the Medium size bracket the Large size will fit you best.

To MEASURE YOUR WAIST, pull the tape gently taught around your waist at your belly button. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters.

The next step is to apply your measurements to the chart below. Find what range fits you best. For example if your chest size is 100cm, a size M (94-102) would be a nice snug fit. If your chest size is 102cm, size M would be snug and fitted, and size L (102-110) would be a loose roomier fit.

Size   XS S M L XL
Chest Range (cm)   78-86 86-94 94-102 102-110 110-118
Waist Range (cm)   60-67 67-75 75-82 82-90 90-98

MEN'S JEANS AND PANTS

For Jeans and Pants, we ask you to measure you Hip/Waist Line. For best results, use a flexible tailors measuring tape, and have a friend measure you while standing. If you don't have a tape measure, use a string, then measure that.

To measure your Hip/Waist Line, pull the tape measure gently taught around your waist, 10cm (4 inches) below your belly button. Look forward, exhale to your relaxed natural position, and record the measurement in centimeters. If you like your pants a bit looser, or to allow for a wee bit of breathing room, leave enough room for one finger to fit between the tape measure and your body.

The next step is to apply your measurements to the chart below. Find what range fits you best. For example, if your Hip range is 88cm then you would be a size 32. If your Hip range is 92cm, you would be a snug (fitted) size 33, or a loose (roomier) size 34.

Depending on what your measurements and personal preferences are, use you judgment to choose a more fitted or roomier cut.

SHOE SIZING

What is my shoe size?

The best way to find out is to download and print our FEET MEASURING GUIDE, then follow the instructions on the page. But you must be really careful to print at 100% scale (not resize to fit), or it won't work. We recommend using a ruler to triple check that the printout is accurate. This guide will give you your EURO size, but if you REALLY want them to fit perfectly, send us your exact LENGTH and WIDTH (in cm) in the "notes" box during checkout.

If you have large ankles or calves, you should also download and print our OTHER MEASUREMENTS guide. This plus the feet measuring guide above will give us everything we need to know to perfectly customize your tabi.

Keep this in mind while measuring:
Feet expand slightly throughout the day, so measure in the evening.
Wear a pair of socks when measuring (unless you plan on wearing them barefoot).
Use centimeters (cm) to measure. The metric system is more accurate.

But I already know my shoe size! Why should I measure my feet?

Every shoe maker uses a slightly different system. And feet are constantly changing.
If you want your tabi to fit perfectly, you'll need to measure. Just do it.

What if I don't have a printer?

You can also measuring your feet with the following:
A sheet of paper
A pen (or pencil)
A ruler (or measuring tape) with centimeters.
The socks you'll wear with the boots
A chair
Two solid box-shaped objects (bricks, large books, small boxes, etc.)

Here's how you do it:
1) Sit in the chair, and place one of your feet firmly on the piece of paper.
2) Put the two solid objects at either end of your foot ... one touching your toe, one touching your heel.
3) Move your foot, and mark the length of your foot.
4) Repeat steps 1-3 to mark the width of your foot.
5) Measure the length and width with a ruler (in cm).
6) Repeat steps 1-5 with the other foot.

You now have your measurements. To get your EURO Standard size, add 6mm to the length for toe-room, and use the chart below. If your feet are different sizes, no problem, send both measurements.

Example #1: A foot length of 24.5cm + 6mm = 25.1cm = a good fit for EURO 39.
Example #2: A foot length of 25.6cm + 6mm = 26.2cm = a snug EURO 42 or a roomy EURO 43.
Example #3: A foot length of 26.4cm + 6mm = 27cm = a very tight EURO 43 or a roomy EURO 44.

WRIST SIZE (IN CM)

All Bracelets are made to order, custom fit for each buyer.

Measure, in centimeters, the circumference around your wrist. If you have a tailors measuring tape, use that. Otherwise, cut a strip of paper and wrap it around your wrist, then measure the length of the paper. Measure loosely, don't pull too tightly.
